PreSonus CDL Sub18 Active Subwoofer

The CDL Sub18 is the low-frequency half of a CDL system. Inside is an 18-inch transducer on a 4-inch voice coil with 7 mm of travel before over-excursion, loaded into a ported enclosure and driven by an integrated 2,000-watt Class D amplifier. Paired with CDL12P or CDL10P tops, flown or ground-stacked, the pair produces an even response across the crossover rather than a bump at the handoff.

Deployment is flexible. An integrated pole mount carries up to two CDL-series loudspeakers for a ground-stacked rig, and two Sub18 cabinets can be stacked when a room needs more bottom. M10 fly points are built in for suspended systems. An onboard menu covers sound-enhancing presets and a variable low-pass filter, which is how the transition to the full-range boxes gets dialed in for the room.
