MuxLab 500506 DisplayPort 1.2a 1x2 Hub, MST

The 500506 takes one DisplayPort 1.2a connector and drives two monitors with different content, using Multi-Stream Transport for up to eight streams. Resolutions reach 4K, and PCM audio passes at up to 7.1 channels and 192 kHz sampling.

The distinction from a splitter matters: MST gives the host a genuine multi-monitor desktop rather than a mirrored image. The link runs 5.4 Gbps per lane, 21.6 Gbps total, and supports dual-mode DisplayPort for HDMI or DVI adapters downstream.
