Lumantek ez-MD+ HDMI / SDI Cross Converter with Scaler and Audio Mux

The ez-MD+ is the converter you keep in the kit because it goes both ways. One BNC input takes SD, HD, or 3G-SDI and one HDMI type A input takes a laptop or camera; the box then feeds an SDI output and an HDMI output at the same time. Any of the four paths works - HDMI to SDI, SDI to HDMI, HDMI to HDMI, or SDI to SDI - so it also serves as a reclocking distribution point when the format does not need to change.

A built-in scaler handles resolutions from 480i up to 1080p60 and sets the screen ratio to 16:9 or 4:3, so a legacy source can be normalized before it hits the switcher. Audio comes in and out on a D-SUB 9-pin breakout to balanced XLR, with embedding, de-embedding, and a rotary switch that trims audio delay in 50 ms steps to fix a lip-sync error at the source. A BNC reference input accepts black burst or tri-level sync for genlock. The unit runs on +11 to +13 V DC at 8 W maximum, measures 130 x 100.4 x 26.9 mm, and weighs 0.4 kg.
