Kramer KDS-17DEC KDS 17DEC 4K60 4:4:4 AVoIP Decoder with Dante
The Kramer KDS-17DEC is a 4K60 4:4:4 AVoIP decoder with Dante, receiving high quality video and audio over a 1GbE network. Full 4:4:4 chroma is what keeps computer text and fine detail readable, which is the difference between an AVoIP system that suits signage and one that suits a control room.
Latency is sub-frame, so the picture arrives inside a single frame time and an operator working live does not feel the network in the path. Dante handles audio as a separate, independently routable stream. The unit carries HDMI, optical SFP+, LAN, RS-232, line audio, IR, and a USB-B 3.1 host connection. Running over 1GbE rather than 10GbE is what makes large deployments affordable on existing switching.
