The Movcam Side Support is the piece that turns a KineKIT cage into a handheld rig. It carries one ARRI rosette on its outer face, the standard interface for a cheeseplate handgrip, so the grip clamps at a repeatable angle and stays there through a shoulder move rather than creeping under load.

A set of 1/4-20 threaded holes sits alongside the rosette for the smaller items that end up on the side of a camera: a cable clamp, a battery plate, an antenna bracket. Because it is sold on its own, a crew can add a grip side to a cage that shipped without one, or fit supports on both sides for two-handed work.
