Hartke HD508 500-Watt 4x8 Bass Combo Amplifier
The HD508 uses four 8-inch HyDrive drivers instead of the more common pair of tens. Smaller cones move faster, so the combo tracks fast fingerstyle and slap lines with a tight, articulate midrange while the four-driver array still pushes real air. Behind them sits the same 500-watt Class D power section used across the HD combos, and the cabinet rides on casters so a 49-pound box moves without a lift.
The top panel carries a three-band EQ voiced at 70 Hz, 700 Hz, and 5 kHz, plus the Shape filter that sweeps 100 Hz to 900 Hz for instant scoop or mid honk. A balanced XLR direct output feeds front of house, an effects loop handles outboard pedals or rack gear, and an aux input plus headphone jack turn the rig into a practice station.
