Obey 70 sits between a rack controller and a full lighting desk. Fourteen faders and an assignable joystick handle up to twelve fixtures at 32 channels each, 384 channels in total, which is the point at which moving heads with full attribute sets stop fitting on a smaller Obey.

The joystick is what changes the workflow: pan and tilt get positioned by hand rather than by nudging two faders, so focusing a moving head during a show is realistic. Storage is 30 banks of 8 scenes for 240 scenes across six chase sets. Fog and strobe controls sit on the panel and MIDI is supported for external triggering. It is 4U at 19 x 7 x 2.8 inches, weighs 7.3 lb, and connects over 3-pin XLR.
