Chauvet DJ Data Stream 4

Data Stream 4 takes one DMX universe in and hands it to four separate branches, with an extra thru port for passing the same signal to the next device in a daisy chain. Splitting rather than looping is what keeps a long rig stable: each branch is driven fresh instead of inheriting whatever the last fixture in line did to the signal.

Every input and output is fitted with both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR, so mixed-connector rigs do not need adapters. Input and output are electrically isolated, which contains a short or a miswired fixture to the branch it happened on. It mounts in a single rack space, measures 19 x 5.3 x 1.8 inches, weighs 5.8 lb and draws 3 W.
