Audix PDX520 Broadcast Dynamic Microphone
The PDX520 is the newest addition to Audix's PDX family of premium dynamic microphones for broadcast, podcasting, and studio work, designed for a true-to-life, full and accurate spoken voice. It leans natural and pleasingly warm rather than hyped, the kind of tonal balance that holds up over a long-format show without listener fatigue.
A cardioid pattern keeps isolation solid even in less than ideal rooms, and its default gain level is set so most preamps do not need extra boost or a cloud lifter. Two 2-position switches on the body handle low cut and presence boost, letting a host dial in tone without touching post-production. The design borrows the internal vibration dampening system from Audix's PDX720, all in a solid metal body with an integrated stand and XLR attachment arm. Designed and crafted in the USA.
