TurtleAV Downtown 12-Channel Dolby Atmos/DTS to Dante Encoder
Downtown sits between an HDMI source and a Dante audio network and does the work a lot of AV systems still route around: decoding Dolby Digital, DD+, Atmos, DTS:X or plain PCM up to 7.1.4 channels and putting each channel on the network as its own addressable Dante stream. That is what lets a theme park ride, a theater, or a broadcast control room route object-based surround audio through the same Dante infrastructure as everything else, instead of keeping a separate analog or AES snake just for the cinema feed.
The HDMI side is 2.1 with 40Gbps of bandwidth and HDCP 2.3 compliance, covering 4K/8K sources at up to 12-bit color with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG passthrough. It ships in the same metal Turtle Aqua chassis as the rest of the line, runs from its own AC supply, and carries a 5-year warranty, in keeping with how long this kind of encoder stays bolted into a rack once it is commissioned.
