Sony SMAD-P3 Multi Interface Shoe Adaptor (URX-P03)

The SMAD-P3 is Sony's Multi Interface shoe adaptor for the URX-P03 wireless receiver. It seats the receiver on the camera's MI shoe so audio passes straight into the camera with no connecting cable, which is one less thing to snag on a run-and-gun shoot.

Because the connection is through the shoe, the receiver also draws its power from the camera and follows the camera's power switch, so there is one power state to think about instead of two. Sony lists it for XDCAM camcorders including the PXW-Z280/Z190, PXW-X180/X160 and PXW-FX9, NXCAM camcorders including the HXR-NX5R and HXR-NX100, the Cinema Line ILME-FX6V and ILME-FX3, Handycam models, and Alpha and Cyber-shot bodies with an MI shoe.
