Padcaster Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod

This is the support Padcaster builds its tablet kits around, and it works just as well under a mirrorless body or a small camcorder. Three-section clip-locking legs run from 22 inches folded to 71 inches at full extension, adjust independently for uneven ground, and carry two ball level adjustments so the shot stays level when the floor is not.

The fluid head is the reason to buy it: 13.2 pounds of capacity with 25 degrees of angle adjustment, damping the jitter that makes handheld pans look rough. Unscrew one leg, thread it onto the removable center column, and it becomes a monopod that still pans and tilts. Removable spike feet, a spring-loaded weight hook, a 3/8-16 accessory interface, a spare 3/8-16 head screw, and a weatherproof zippered bag are included.
