Mackie mRING-10 10-inch Battery-Powered Ring Light

Face lighting is the difference between a stream that looks produced and one that looks like a webcam in a basement, and a ring light is the shortest route there. The mRING-10 is the larger of Mackie's two, a 10-inch ring that wraps light evenly around the lens axis so the shadow under the chin and around the eyes softens out.

It runs on its own battery, so there is no mains lead crossing the desk, and switches between three colour settings to match daylight, tungsten or a mix of the two. The supplied support converts from a selfie stick to a stand, a phone mount holds the handset at the ring's centre, and a remote triggers the shot from arm's length.
