Lowell R1810-72S 8 in Speaker/Grille Assembly
The Lowell R1810-72S is the screwdriver-adjust version of Lowell's 8" ceiling speaker assembly: the 810 dual-cone driver, a TLM-572 25V/70V transformer and a WB-8 grille with a recessed volume control in the centre. A screwdriver slot rather than a knob is the right call in a corridor or a lobby, where the level should be set once by the installer and left alone.
The driver takes 15 W RMS on a 10 oz ceramic magnet, running 54 Hz to 11.6 kHz (+/-6 dB) at 97.9 dB average sensitivity, 1 W/1 m. Transformer taps sit at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2 and 5 W. The grille is 12.875" round screw-mount steel in white powder coat. Order the backbox separately - the UL listing applies when it is used with an approved one.
