Kramer Z4KCXS-DAU ZyPer4K-XSE Decoder with Dante and Icron USB
The Z4KCXS-DAU is the decoder end of Kramer's ZyPer4K system, running over 10Gb copper with PoE+ and carrying 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 uncompressed at zero-frame latency. Because nothing is compressed, it behaves like a matrix output rather than a stream: no codec artifacts on fine text, no added delay to fight in a live production or a courtroom. HDCP 2.3 and AES-128 encryption cover protected sources, and it is 802.1X compatible for networks that require port authentication.
Audio and USB are the reason to pick this variant over a plain decoder. Embedded Dante puts the audio on the same network fabric the rest of the facility already uses, and the Icron chipset gives genuine full USB 2.0 across two type-A ports to any USB-enabled ZyPer4K device, which is what makes remote keyboards, touch panels, and cameras work properly. It drives video walls to 15x15 and multiview with up to 19 sources, runs 100m on Cat6a, and draws about 13W. Note that this is ZyPer4K-XSE Revision 1; Kramer lists Revision 2 (Z4KC2XS-DAU) as its replacement.
