Kramer VSM-4x4X 4x4 Matrix Switcher, Video Wall & Multiviewer

The VSM-4x4X is a 4x4 seamless HDMI matrix built to run three ways from the same box: as a straight 4x4 switcher, as a video wall driver in 2x2 or 1x4 configuration with bezel correction, or as a multiviewer in split, side-by-side, PIP, POP, stacked or quad layout. It supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 at resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4), with a maximum bandwidth of 18Gbps and latency up to 20ms - current enough for a modern laptop or streaming box, not just legacy 1080p sources. Truly seamless switching gives zero-time video cuts, or the unit can drop into fade-through-black mode when outputs need independent resolutions.

Each of the four HDMI inputs carries advanced per-port EDID management, so one problematic source doesn't force the whole matrix to the lowest common resolution. Four balanced line-level audio outputs de-embed stereo audio from each HDMI output independently, and a built-in video ProcAmp - color, hue, sharpness, noise, contrast, brightness - is set per input. Four preset memory locations store common configurations for each operating mode, and firmware updates run over Ethernet through Kramer's upgrade tool. Control is Ethernet and RS-232, plus a full set of front-panel buttons for matrix/video-wall/multiview setup, store/recall, display identify and panel lock.
