The MTC-424MR is a plaster-ring (mud ring) construction bracket for Control 424C/T, a JBL Control Contractor installation accessory sold as a set of 6 pieces. It is the mud-ring/new-construction counterpart to the grille sold for the same speaker (MTC-424BG / MTC-424SG).
Installs before drywall as part of the standard Control Contractor rough-in kit for this model.
