Ikan 9' Carbon Fiber Telescoping Boom Pole with Internal Cable and XLR Base (E-Image)

The BC09P is the 9-foot carbon fibre boom pole in E-Image's range, and for most crews it is the one that lives in the bag. Nine feet reaches over a table of four, covers a two-shot walking down a corridor, and still collapses short enough to fit a normal case. Carbon fibre keeps the mass low so an operator can hold it overhead through a long take without the tip drifting into frame.

The XLR cable is coiled inside the tube instead of taped around the outside, so extending the pole does not fight the cable and the cable does not slap the tube and put handling noise into the take. The base carries a side-output XLR, which keeps the connector out of the operator's body and runs cleanly down to a mixer or field recorder. Built for ENG, EFP and documentary work.
