FieldCast Fiber Base One 4-Channel PTZ Fiber Base Station

Fiber Base One is the control room end of FieldCast's PTZ fiber chain. It separates the incoming fiber signal from a Fiber Node One into four SDI channels plus Ethernet control data, so an SDI switcher, a multiviewer and a camera controller all connect directly.

It also feeds the chain: redundant power supplies send AC power down the SMPTE 311M/304 hybrid cable to Fiber Node One, which then distributes DC to the FieldCast hybrid main cable and the cameras. Typical placement is up to two kilometres from the stage, in an OB van or a fixed control room.
