FieldCast Fiber Node One 4-Channel PTZ Fiber Node
Fiber Node One is the middle hub in a long-distance PTZ fiber system. Its rear panel carries four FieldCast Hybrid chassis connectors, one per FieldCast Hybrid main cable, each running out to a PTZ Monk at a camera. It converts those four fiber channels into four separate SDI and Ethernet channels for local monitoring and control.
It then multiplexes video and control data from all four cameras onto a single SMPTE 311M/304 hybrid cable back to Fiber Base One, and distributes the power it receives from Fiber Base One out to each camera, so no camera needs a local supply. Typical placement is within 100 metres of the camera positions.
