Datavideo HBT-5 HDBaseT Transmitter Box

The HBT-5 is the sending end of an HDBaseT link: HDMI in, RJ-45 out, with RS-422 and RS-232 control riding the same cable. It carries 1080p60 to 60m and 4K30 to 35m over CAT6, which covers most in-building camera and display runs without a fibre budget.

It can be powered over the same Ethernet cable by a PoE source such as the HBT-12 receiver, so a camera position needs one cable rather than three. A 12V 24W DC output is available on the box to feed a remotely located camera or converter, and video processing supports 4K30 4:4:4 8-bit and 4K60 4:2:0 8-bit within a single-link 340MHz (10.2 Gbps) pipe.
