DPA Microphones DPA S5 Surround / Decca Tree Mount for Pencil Microphones

The S5 is the rig DPA builds for arrays rather than single microphones. It is assembled from interchangeable blocks and arms, so the same hardware can be set up as a classic three-microphone Decca tree or opened out into a five-channel surround array without buying a second mount.

That modularity is the point: spacing and angle are set on the rig rather than improvised with clamps, which means an array can be measured, written down and rebuilt the same way on the next date. It carries DPA pencil microphones in their standard holders.
