Clear-Com FreeSpeak II O2 Hyperbaric Wireless Beltpack
The O2 beltpacks are FreeSpeak II packs built to keep working inside a hyperbaric chamber. Clear-Com rates them to 5.1 atm, 517 kPa or 75 psi, with pressure changing as fast as 26 psi per minute, so a dive supervisor and the occupants stay on the same intercom through compression and decompression instead of shouting through a hatch. Everything else behaves like a standard FreeSpeak II pack: up to five full-duplex audio paths with individual level control, four talk buttons, a reply button and two rotary controls, registered over the air to an FSII base, a FreeSpeak Edge base, an Arcadia Central Station or an E-IPA-HX card.
Both bands are offered. The 1.9 GHz FSII-BP19-X4-O2 runs 1920 - 1930 MHz in the US, Canada and Mexico; the 2.4 GHz FSII-BP24-X4-O2-US runs the license-free 2.400 - 2.483 GHz ISM band. Range is the same either way, roughly 300 ft (90 m) indoors and 800 ft (240 m) outdoors per antenna. The O2 packs run on three AA alkaline or NiMH cells for 9-plus hours rather than the Li-Ion BAT60, and take a 4-pin male XLR headset connector on an IP53-rated body.
