Chauvet DJ Hurricane 1600 Fog Machine
The Hurricane 1600 is the workhorse of Chauvet DJ's fog line - a 1,580W water-based machine that pushes 25,000 cfm and reaches temperature in about four minutes. Always Ready heating keeps the block hot between bursts so the fog arrives when the cue does, not thirty seconds later. Output is variable from DMX or from the included 15-foot timer remote, and there is a manual fog button on the unit for walk-up control.
The 0.63-gallon tank is LED-illuminated so you can read the level in a dark room, and an advanced fluid sensor shuts the pump down before it runs dry and overheats. It takes one DMX channel over 3-pin XLR, draws 12.8A at 120V - plan a dedicated circuit - and weighs 13.2 lb in a 13.7 x 12.3 x 10 inch case. Chauvet lists FJU and HDF as the compatible water-based fluids; output is residue-free.
