BirdDog Flex 4K BACKPACK
The BirdDog Flex 4K BACKPACK is a Flex 4K encoder with an NP-style battery plate on the back, built to ride on a camera and run off the same L-series batteries the rig already carries. It takes an HDMI 2.0 signal and puts it on the network as full-bandwidth NDI, handling UHD 2160p down through 1080p, 1080i and 720p with BirdDog's i-frame codec, so a camera becomes a wireless-ready IP source anywhere on the fabric.
Two-channel 48kHz HDMI audio rides along, and a 3.5mm jack pair adds a mic/line input and headphone/line output. An integrated tricolour Halo tally shows preview and program state, a 2.5mm RS232 (VISCA) port passes PTZ control down to the camera, and a single Gigabit Ethernet cable carries video, control and PoE power. Beyond the NP battery mount, it also accepts PoE+ (802.3at) or a DC 12V input.
