Audio-Technica AT8538 In-Line Power Module

The AT8538 is an in-line power module for Audio-Technica's AT831R lavalier and the U853R(W) and U857R(L) gooseneck series, taking a TA3M input from the microphone and putting a standard 3-pin XLRM output at the other end for a mixer or recorder. A bass roll-off switch is built in to cut handling and stage rumble before the signal leaves the module.

Unlike the battery-or-phantom AT8531, the AT8538 is phantom-power only, which keeps its housing smaller since there is no battery compartment to fit. It ships with a matched windscreen for the connected microphone.
