AKG MK A Antenna Cable, RG 58 with Gold-Plated BNC
The MK A cables are the ones AKG specifies for its own antenna systems: 50 ohm RG 58 with gold-plated BNC connectors on both ends, terminated properly so the impedance match holds across the UHF band. They connect remote antennas, AB4000 antenna boosters, booster power supplies, the APS4 antenna power splitter and the receivers themselves.
Run length matters more here than in an audio cable, because coax loss is what a booster later has to make up. Use the 5 m for rack-internal and short front-mount runs, and the 20 m when the antenna goes out to the sides of a stage. Beyond that, plan on an AB4000 EW booster or an active antenna rather than a longer cable.
