AKG RA4000 EW Passive Omnidirectional UHF Antenna
The RA4000 EW is the passive member of AKG's wide-band UHF antenna family, covering 470 to 952 MHz with a 360 degree pattern. Because it has no amplifier, it needs no power and adds no noise, which makes it the right choice when the receiver is close by: it is specified for cable runs up to about 10 m. Beyond that, the active RA4000 B/EW or an AB4000 booster does the job instead.
It works as a receiving antenna for a wireless microphone system or as a transmitting antenna for in-ear monitoring, on a professional BNC connector into 50 ohms. The housing is waterproof and rated for indoor or outdoor use, and a universal stand adapter for 3/8 inch or 5/8 inch threads ships with it, so it goes on a mic stand at the side of a stage without further hardware.
