VariZoom Pistol-Grip Zoom Control
VariZoom's top-of-line pistol-grip control puts a beautifully machined aluminum housing and articulated swivel clamp on a dual-variable zoom circuit: set a maximum speed on the trigger-position dial, then vary actual speed with the pressure-sensitive rocker, or roll the dial with the rocker fully depressed to ramp speed up. The offset swivel clamp mounts to any tripod handle, jib, or support bar and adjusts through a wide range of operating angles, and the grip is shaped for comfortable use in either hand.
Beyond zoom, every version adds a record/pause button and a video-return button that plays back the last five seconds of footage and cues the tape to the last recorded frame for timecode sync. The PG-C and PG-F cover 8-pin Canon and Fujinon professional lenses respectively; the PG-F12 adds a 12-pin Fujinon connector; and the PG-C20 is built specifically for the 20-pin Canon CN-E 18-80mm and 70-200mm cine-servo lenses, with the added record and one-shot autofocus buttons those lenses support.
