VariZoom SnapCrane Camera Crane
The SnapCrane is VariZoom's flagship camera crane, built from lightweight modular sections that lock together with stainless quick-release pins on lanyards and locking dovetail joints, so a full rig goes up without tools. Every SnapCrane ships as a turnkey system with a fully machined VZ-TCR100 tripod and the heavy-duty VZ-DCR200 dolly with removable outriggers, matched, assembled, and functionally tested before it leaves the factory in Austin, TX. One or two boom extensions convert a shorter crane into a longer one, so a 9-footer can grow to 16 feet as a shoot demands.
The 9-foot crane carries up to 50 lbs, while the 12 and 16-foot booms are rated to 30 lbs as the added reach shifts more leverage onto the payload end. All three share the same dolly and tripod base and the same cable-tensioned truss construction that gives the SnapCrane its reach and stability without added weight at the head.
