Sennheiser MZF 8000 II Infrasound Filter Module

The MZF 8000 II is a filter module for the MKH 8000 series of RF-condenser microphones. It screws in at a suitable point between the microphone head and the XLR module, ahead of the signal path, and blocks the infrasound content that shows up as low-frequency rumble from wind gusts or handling.

It is aimed squarely at broadcast and film production, where a boom operator or wind-exposed shoot needs that low-end noise stripped out before it reaches the recorder rather than filtered afterward in post.
