Sennheiser MKE2-3-C Gold TA5F Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold is a subminiature omnidirectional lavalier condenser, the clip-on Sennheiser built for theater, broadcast, and film sound where the mic has to disappear and still sound natural. Its trademark umbrella diaphragm resists moisture and perspiration, and the extremely thin, low-mass diaphragm gives fast, accurate transient response. The omnidirectional pattern captures a full, even voice and holds level when a performer turns their head. This is the beige Gold-series capsule in its reduced-sensitivity 5 mV/Pa version, chosen for close-miking louder talent and stage use.
This variant is terminated with a TA5F connector wired for Lectrosonics bodypack transmitters and ships as the bare microphone with no accessories. It handles up to 142 dB SPL across a full 20 Hz to 20 kHz range, so it stays clean on projected voices and higher-output sources.
