sE Electronics VR1 Passive Ribbon Microphone

The VR1 is sE's slim-body passive ribbon: a hand-crafted 2.5 micron aluminium ribbon in a 20 mm wide chassis that fits between a hi-hat and a snare, or up against a guitar grille where a fat mic body will not go. The figure-8 pattern gives you a null to aim at whatever you do not want.

It is passive and phantom-protected, so it survives a stray 48 V, and at 1.8 mV/Pa it wants a preamp with headroom. The box includes a shock mount, a stand clip, a thread adapter and a wooden case.
