ProX XT-SQ164 1.64 Ft - 0.5 M F34 Square Truss Segment 2" Tube 2 mm Wall

The XT-SQ164 is a half-metre F34 square truss segment - 11.42 in (290 mm) box section, 2 in (50 mm) main tubes, 2 mm wall - drawn from EN-AWT6 6082 aluminium and TUV-certified welded. The 2 mm wall is the heavier of the two ProX F34 specs, made for high-frequency rental, touring and exhibition use where the same truss goes up and comes down every week, and it supports spans up to 52.5 ft (16 M) in the series.

Short segments earn their place at the end of a run, where a design needs 0.5 M to land on a corner block instead of 1 M. The conical coupling system is genderless, so there is no correct end and no hunting for a mate in the dark; the taper pulls the chords into precise alignment as the pins drive home, keeps the joint rigid at the stress points, and assembles with nothing more than a small brass or aluminium hammer. Actual weight is 13 lbs and one connecting hardware set is included.
