The RIG-8HKORK carries large camera rigs fully assembled, or with minimal disassembly. Its frame is lightweight hollow-core plastic surrounded by thick foam padding, and the flared-top shape is deliberate: narrow at the bottom for the removable wheel system, wide at the top for large matteboxes or rig handles. The lid expands to clear tall rig handles. The bottom interior is lined with soft anti-skid material and two tie-down straps lock the rig in place in transit, while the interior side walls are lined in soft-side hook-and-loop so Porta Brace Divider Kits, sold separately, can go anywhere inside.

Large rigs are heavy, so the case offers two ways to move: a backpack harness with padded lumbar support, or the removable off-road wheel system. The straps and lumbar pad are lined with breathable mesh and thick padding, with a chest strap, a waist belt with a large plastic clip and weight adjustment straps. The off-road wheels use solid rubber tires, ball bearings and steel axles, and come off to travel separately. The exterior is abrasion-resistant 1000-denier Cordura with an anti-skid rubber layer along the bottom, plus a large lid pocket, lid cinches for a tripod, two medium and two small exterior pockets.
