The NANUK 988 is the long-haul case: 41.7 inches of interior length, 13.6 wide, 12.5 deep, 116.5 litres, held by six PowerClaw latches. That interior takes light stands, tripods and jib sections at full length, and it also takes the things nobody markets a camera case for, bunker gear, chainsaws, rifles, industrial tooling.

It rolls on two large polyurethane wheels with stainless steel ball bearings and carries three spring-loaded handles, so it can be towed by one person or team-lifted into a truck. The NK-7 resin shell is waterproof and dustproof, molded with aggressive ribs and taller feet so it stacks on a pallet without walking. Options include a polycarbonate ID window that clips to the front, the TSA-approved latch retrofit kit and padlocks, a panel installation kit, multi-layer solid foam and padded dividers.
