Once a Studio Rover has its teleprompter, PoE light and motorized column fully collapsed, the Split Lid closes over the top of the cart and turns it into a shipping case. That is the difference between rolling the cart to the next room and putting it in a truck: the exposed hardware on top is what gets damaged in transit, and this covers it.

The lid comes in two halves that twist-lock together, six locks in all, so it seals tight rather than rattling loose over a long drive. The interior is form-fitted foam that holds the prompter and column against shock and vibration instead of letting them move inside the shell. Recessed folding handle grips sit flush until you need them, then fold out for lifting the lid on and off.
