IDX SSL-VBG50 Battery

The IDX SSL-VBG50 is a 7.4V, 5000mAh Lithium-Ion battery designed with Panasonic Broadcast for the AG-HMC150, AG-HMC40, and AG-HMC70 camcorders. Its secured VBG interface talks to the camera so the operation stays optimized and an accurate analog battery level appears right in the viewfinder, rather than a rough guess. A three-LED push-button gauge on the front of the pack gives a quick read of the charge that remains.

The same protection circuitry IDX builds into its larger batteries guards against over-charge, over-discharge, and over-load. On a full charge the SSL-VBG50 runs a camera roughly three hours with the LCD off, making it a dependable spare for a long shoot day.
