ESE ES748 Programmable Timecode Event Controller

The ES-748 is more than a timecode display: it is a programmable event controller that watches an incoming SMPTE or EBU timecode and fires contact closures at times you set. That makes it the piece that ties timecode to the real world, triggering machines, tallies, lighting, or automation the instant the code hits a programmed value. It reads standard 8-digit SMPTE and EBU code and drives ten contact-closure outputs.

Up to one hundred events can be loaded into the unit, each tied to a specific timecode moment, and the whole event list is programmed over USB rather than through front-panel menus. As part of ESE's ES-700 family of programmable event controllers, it fits broadcast, production, and show-control setups that need timecode to do something, not just be seen.
