Countryman EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The EMW is the lavalier for the job nobody enjoys: mounting a mic under clothing and still getting usable dialogue. Its engineering polymer shell is shaped specifically to slide across fabric rather than catch on it, which keeps rubbing noise low where a bare capsule would rustle on every breath. The same sealed construction makes it effectively immersible, so it holds up near water, in heavy weather, and on documentary shoots that put the talent in the surf.
Response is selectable at order time rather than in post: shelved for normal exposed lavalier use, peaked to compensate for the loss of high frequencies behind clothing, or flat for miking instruments. The omnidirectional pattern stays uniform across a wide frequency range, so the tone does not shift when the wearer moves, and the aramid-reinforced cable takes the abuse of daily rig-and-strike. It ships with black and white single tie clips, the EMW Viper Clip, a windscreen, and a case, in five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin.
