Audio-Technica AT8147 Shotgun Windscreen

The AT8147 is the factory foam windscreen for the BP4071L line-plus-gradient shotgun microphone, sized to the SG5 case style so it seats correctly over the full length of the mic body without loosening or slipping during a shoot. Foam cuts wind noise and handling-related turbulence on ENG and field-production audio without adding the bulk of a full blimp.

It is a fast, low-cost way to keep a shotgun usable outdoors or near HVAC and fan noise when a full zeppelin windshield is not practical to carry. Keep a spare on hand, since foam compresses and degrades faster than the microphone itself.
