Audio-Technica AT8137 Large Studio Foam Windscreen

The AT8137 is a large open-cell foam windscreen built for Audio-Technica's larger studio condensers, cutting plosives and breath blasts on close-miked vocals and voiceover while keeping the top-end detail those microphones are chosen for in the first place. It slips over the microphone body rather than clamping on, so it adds no extra mounting hardware between the mic and the stand.

It is sized for Audio-Technica's R1, R5, and R7 case-style bodies, which cover popular large-diaphragm models such as the AT4033 and AT4050 families. Keep one on hand as a working spare, since foam windscreens compress and wear with regular studio use.
