Yamaha XMV Series Multi-Channel Power Amplifier
The Yamaha XMV series is a line of 2U, Class-D multi-channel power amplifiers built for commercial install systems that need clean, efficient channels rather than touring headroom. Each model is offered in a 4-channel or 8-channel chassis, at either 140W or 280W per channel into 4 or 8 ohms, so a designer can size the amplifier to the zone count and speaker load without over-buying rack space. Standard models network over YDIF, Yamaha's proprietary 16-channel digital audio and word-clock format that runs on ordinary CAT5 cable; the -D models add primary and secondary Dante ports instead.
All eight models share the same 480mm-wide, 2U chassis and 0.2% THD rating, so mixing amplifier sizes in one rack does not complicate the physical install. Pair them with a QL, TF, or CL series console, or an MTX/MRX processor, for a complete networked zone-audio system.
