Yamaha Network Switch for Dante Audio
Yamaha builds a full tier of Ethernet switches purpose-tuned for Dante audio networks, from a plug-and-power 5-port box up to a 24-port managed backbone switch, so an installer can spec one vendor for the console, the amps, and the network under them. The SWR2100P is the entry point, a simple L2 switch that feeds PoE power and a Dante signal to a speaker or I/O rack over one cable. The SWR2310 family steps up to a fully managed switch with 10G SFP+ uplinks for moving multichannel 96 kHz audio across a large building backbone, in 10, 18, or 28-port sizes, and the SWR2311P adds 240W of PoE budget across 8 ports to power Dante devices directly. The SWX2320-16MT is the intelligent L2 option, with 12 ports that auto-negotiate up to 10G plus 4 SFP+ uplinks for the largest networks.
The SWP1 and SWP2 lines use rugged etherCON connectors instead of standard RJ45 for touring and install work where cables get stepped on, and both auto-configure their Dante QoS settings with a single switch. SWP1 is the Gigabit-class option, offered plain or with a pre-installed multimode fiber module; SWP2 adds a 10G uplink for 96 kHz Dante networks, in multimode or single-mode fiber versions for runs up to 300 meters or 10 kilometers respectively.
