An MK3.1 receiver can start and stop the camera from the focus puller's hand unit, but only through the cable cut for that camera body. Every version here lands on the MK3.1 receiver at one end and on the camera's own control connector at the other, so one receiver follows the rig from an Alexa to a RED to a Sony without any other change.
