Panasonic PT-TMW380Short-Throw Laser Projector
The Panasonic PT-TMW380 is a short-throw 3LCD laser projector built for classrooms and small meeting rooms, where the projector sits close to the wall and the presenter never walks into the beam. Its fixed lens throws at 0.43:1, so an 80-inch image lands from just 0.73 m (2.40 ft) away, and 3,800 lumens of WXGA (1,280 x 800) light stays readable with the lights on. The 3LCD engine puts red, green and blue through three panels at once, so there is no color-wheel rainbow artifact on moving slides, and a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio keeps dark video from turning gray.
The laser diode light source is rated at roughly 20,000 hours before output falls to half, which means no lamp changes across a school's replacement cycle. Connections cover two HDMI inputs, a D-sub 15-pin computer input, audio in and out, RS-232C serial, an RJ-45 LAN port for network control and monitoring, and a USB Type-A connector; a 10 W monaural speaker handles room audio without a separate system. The chassis is white, weighs 4.9 kg (10.8 lb), and measures 349 x 138 x 370 mm.
