Manfrotto Salon Studio Camera Stand

A Salon stand is the fixed point a studio works around: a black anodized aluminum column on a heavy cast base, carrying a counterbalanced horizontal crossarm that raises and lowers on a gear drive rather than a friction clamp. The camera support platform swings through a full 360 degrees, and the crossarm support casting carries a built-in accessory tray for the things that otherwise end up on the floor.

Three sizes cover the room. The Mini Salon 190 (806) is sized for 35mm and medium format and works from 56 to 182 cm on two pivoting locking wheels. The Salon 230 (809) adds an 8 cm column, an 80 cm sliding crossarm and a single-pedal caster lock. The Super Salon 280 (816) is the top of the line, with a 10 cm column on a cast T base, a 100 cm rack-and-pinion arm with 62 cm of travel, and the same one-step pedal lock.
