Lastolite Tilthead with Spigot
A tilt head is the small part that decides whether a light stays where you aimed it. This one takes any fixture or accessory with a 5/8 in receiver, and its ratchet locking knob holds the angle instead of letting the head drop the moment you loosen it.
The built-in umbrella receptacle accepts shafts up to 8 mm and clamps them with a knurled locking screw, so a shoot-through or bounce umbrella rides on the same head as the light. It weighs 0.9 kg, which is heavy enough to feel solid on a stand and light enough to leave clamped to a spare one.
