Lab.gruppen E 8:2
The E 8:2 doubles the E 4:2 without changing the footprint: 800 W total across two channels, 400 W each into 2, 4 or 8 ohms, in the same 1U chassis that weighs 9.3 lbs. Lab.gruppen's IDEEA output stage is a patented Class D variant that reaches that power with very low distortion and low mains current draw, which is what earns the E Series its Energy Star qualification.
Each channel switches between Lo-Z and 70 V modes, and the Rail Sensing Limiter reads rail voltage to keep the output clean under whatever load is present. Asymmetric loading lets the 800 W be split unevenly, so one channel can carry a subwoofer while the other feeds a distributed 70 V zone. A fixed 50 Hz high-pass filter is switchable per channel, cooling is a single temperature-controlled fan with no filter to service, and standby consumption is 1 W.
