iodyne Pro Data Thunderbolt NVMe RAID Storage

Pro Data is iodyne's desktop NVMe array for editorial and on-set work that cannot afford a rebuild. Twelve SSDs are pooled behind eight 40Gb Thunderbolt ports, four of them upstream so several machines can mount the same storage and four downstream for daisy-chaining displays, more Pro Data units, or the rest of the cart. Sustained throughput runs to 5.2 GB/s read and 2.4 GB/s write, enough headroom to cut uncompressed camera negative rather than proxies.

Protection is transactional RAID-6 with per-container configuration, so a scratch container can run RAID-0 for speed while the master container stays parity-protected, and encryption is XTS-AES-256 handled by a hardware secure enclave. The 12TB unit ships with a 180W GaN adapter, a vertical stand, and two 1m Thunderbolt cables. The Fly Kit adds a single-unit hard case, an XLR/USB-C power converter, and 0.7m cables for travelling to location.
